How Legitail collects, uses, and protects your information. Written to be read, not just signed — clear language over dense legalese.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Legitail (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our B2B services marketplace. We designed Legitail to be privacy-respecting from the architecture stage, collecting only what we need to connect buyers with verified providers and to keep the platform secure.

By using Legitail, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform. This document is intended to be clear and readable rather than dense legalese, and applies to all visitors, buyers, and providers across our web and email channels.

Data we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, work email, company details, and the content of briefs, proposals, and messages you exchange on the platform. Providers may additionally submit verification materials, portfolio samples, and pricing information.

We also collect limited technical data automatically — including IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed — to operate, secure, and improve the service. We use essential cookies for authentication and a small number of analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

How we use data

We use the information we collect to provide core functionality — matching briefs to providers, surfacing relevant leads, processing reviews, and enabling messaging — and to verify provider identity and review integrity. We also use data to maintain account security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Where you have opted in, we may send product updates and relevant opportunities. You can withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time from your notification settings or via the unsubscribe link in any email. We retain data only for as long as needed to deliver the service or as required by applicable law.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / UAE PDPL)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Legitail is built to honor the EU GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

Under the GDPR you have the right to data portability and to be forgotten. Under the CCPA you may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which we do not engage in — and request disclosure of categories collected. Under the UAE PDPL you may request information about cross-border transfers and the basis for processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below; we respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by law.
